Uniformed Violence

I am really getting sick and tired of hearing and reading about police officers not doing their jobs properly. Countless occurrences of uniformed officers killing and causing havoc on the lives of civilian they are entitled to protect. Sammy Yatim was a case close to home that an officer trained in dealing with subduing violent individuals. Shot Sammy who was agitated and wielding a knife numerous times, then proceeded to taser the downed victim.
Then I came across the Russell family case. Officers instead of working with the family to help get their daughter who shot herself in a suicide attempt to the hospital just made matters worse. They pepper sprayed the father then handcuffed him and his son to a bench in holding, the two did not get their chance to say their final goodbye to the daughter that died at a hospital. To make matters worse the officers wrote a complain to the sons military officer saying he is unstable and got him removed from service.
A few months back there was the chaos that L.A.P.D stirred up hunting Christopher Dorner. During the man hunt officers went around terrorizing innocent civilians shooting up two ladies in a pickup truck that was not befitting of the description given for the suspect. The truck was riddles with countless bullets, striking up the question of innocent until proven guilty does it even apply anymore?

Clearly the people that we are lead to believe are supposed to protect us aren't doing a very good job. This is why I don't respect the uniform and I believe everyone should be able to protect themselves.
